Can I walk in without a reservation?
Yes, we do welcome walk-ins, but please be aware that we cannot guarantee a table.
To avoid disappointment, we do recommend booking a table in advance.
Does House of Tides have a dress code?
House of Tides has a very relaxed atmosphere. We want you to be comfortable in our home during your dining experience, so we do not have a strict dress code policy. We only ask for no shorts, sleeveless t-shirts, hats, flip flops and Sunderland football shirts.
Do you cater for all dietary requirements?
We gladly accommodate most dietary restrictions and food allergies.
Please inform us of any dietary or allergy requirements at the time of your reservation or 48 hours-notice prior to your booking date.
This will help us ensure that we can create the best possible menu to accommodate your needs.
Is there wheelchair access?
Yes, please inform us when making a reservation if you or any member of your party will require wheelchair access. Due to the nature of the building we cannot accommodate wheelchair access onto the main restaurant floor. We can accommodate wheelchair access on the ground floor dining area. Disabled toilets are available on the ground floor.
How long should we allow to enjoy the House of Tides experience?
We would recommend allowing 2 ½ to 3 hours depending on table size to enjoy your experience comfortably.
What happens if I am running late?
Please arrive on time for your booking, and contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you are running late. Please note that arriving more than 15 minutes late may result in missing part of your experience.
Are children allowed at House of Tides?
Yes, we do allow children. We only allow children over the age of 10, due not only to the length of the meal but also to the potential disruption to the other guests. If you would like to bring your child, kindly note that we do not have a children’s menu and that they would receive the same tasting menu.
Can I bring my own wine?
We do not allow any outside wine, we do, however, offer carefully selected wine pairings to accompany our menu. Our sommelier team is always happy to discuss your wine selection the evening you dine.
How often do you change menu at House of Tides?
While we do update our menus regularly, we only use ingredients in their prime, so dishes can change daily subject to market availability and seasonality. Please contact reservations for today’s menu.
Can I take a menu after my visit to House of Tides?
Yes, a printed menu will be available for you to take home after your meal.
Are there car parking facilities?
Unfortunately, we do not have a car park; However, there is a public car park opposite our restaurant, £1.20 per hour and free after 6pm, Also, there are several car parks within short walking distance from the restaurant.
Where is the nearest train station?
Newcastle Central Station is only a 10-minute walk away from the restaurant
Whilst we follow best practice at all times, we do like to highlight the fact that all the dishes we serve are produced in an environment where allergens are also prepared and cooked.
We cannot guarantee that the environment will be completely allergen free.
What menu do you offer?
We only serve one menu which is a Tasting Menu for both lunch & dinner. We don’t offer an ‘A la Carte’ style menu.
We can offer a vegetarian/pescatarian tasting menu. When making a booking, please inform us if you have any dietary requirements as we need to know in advance so that we can prepare an appropriate menu for you.
With notice, we can adapt our menu to cater for most dietary requirements.

Yes, we do. This does not have to be pre-ordered.
