  • Can I walk in without a reservation?
    Yes, we do welcome walk-ins, but please be aware that we cannot guarantee a table. We strongly recommend booking a table in advance to avoid disappointment.
  • What payment do you require to make a reservation?
    To secure your table we now require a deposit of £50 per person for all reservations. The deposit per person paid will automatically come off your bill at the end of your meal.
  • What is your restaurant cancellation policy?
    In the event that a booking is not honoured in whole or in part, or is cancelled with less than 48 hours notice for tables up to 4 guests and 72 hours for all tables 5 or more, the deposit paid per person will be non-refundable. This also goes for any cancellations in reduction of table size within the notice period. If the required notice is given we will refund the deposit (minus a £5 administration charge per person). ​
  • Does House of Tides have a dress code?
    House of Tides has a very relaxed atmosphere. We want you to be comfortable in our home during your dining experience, we do not have a strict dress code policy. We only ask for no shorts, sleeveless t-shirts, hats, flip flops and Sunderland football shirts.
  • Do you cater for all dietary requirements?
    We gladly accommodate most dietary restrictions and food allergies. Please inform us of any dietary or allergy requirements at the time of your reservation or 48 hours-notice prior to your booking date.This will help us ensure that we can create the best possible menu to accommodate your needs. Please note we are unable to cater for vegans. Please email info@houseoftides.co.uk with any further questions.
  • Allergies
    Whilst we follow best practice at all times, we do like to highlight the fact that all the dishes we serve are produced in an environment where allergens are also prepared and cooked. We cannot guarantee that the environment will be completely allergen free.
  • What menu do you offer?
    We serve a 3 course and 5 course monthly changing seasonal menu for lunch. We serve a 3 course and 7 course monthly changing seasonal menu for dinner. We can offer a vegetarian/pescatarian alternatives. When making a booking, please inform us if you have any dietary requirements as we need to know in advance so that we can prepare an appropriate menu for you. With notice, we can adapt our menu to cater for most dietary requirements. Please email info@houseoftides.co.uk if you need to discuss dietary requirements.
  • When does your menu change?
    We change our menus every month to showcase seasonal changes.

  • What are the opening hours?
    Lunch: Thursday to Saturday 12pm – 2.00pm , Sunday 12.00pm - 3.00pm Dinner: 5.30pm – 9.00pm Wednesday to Saturday Closed: Monday & Tuesday
  • How accessible is House of Tides?
    Yes, please inform us when making a reservation if you or any member of your party will require wheelchair access. Due to the nature of the building, we cannot accommodate wheelchair access onto the main restaurant floor. We can accommodate wheelchair access on the ground floor dining area. Disabled toilets are available on the ground floor.
  • Do you accept Amex?
    Yes, we do accept Amex as a payment method.
  • What happens if I am running late?
    Please arrive on time for your booking, contact info@houseoftides.co.uk if you are running late. Please note that arriving more than 15 minutes late may result in missing part of your experience.
  • Are children allowed at House of Tides?
    Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate infants or babies within the restaurant. Due to the fixed menu format and price, we find that we are more suitable for children over 10 years old. We do not have a children’s menu so all guests will be served the same menu and at the same price.
  • Is there on-site parking?
    Unfortunately, we do not have a car park; However, there is a public car park opposite our restaurant, £1.20 per hour and free after 6pm, Also, there are several car parks within short walking distance from the restaurant.
  • Where is the nearest train station?
    Newcastle Central Station is only a 10-minute walk away from the restaurant
